Characteristics and main uses
Pfinodal’s alloys are mainly made of copper, nickel and tin Cu Ni15 Sn8. This alloy is produced by powder metallurgy, delivered in the form of strips and wires or thin sheets. It offers a set of properties which constitute ideal factors for the production of a large number of parts, used in the most varied fields: electronics, watchmaking, eyewear, etc. A simple heat treatment of tempering makes it possible to obtain by hardening, due to the Spinodal decomposition, very high mechanical characteristics.
